Brunswick School police receive tourniquet training

School nurses and police officers are almost always the first one scene to school incidents such as shootings, and the like.

Because of this, it is vital that they be trained in first aid tactics, techniques, and procedures like applying a tourniquet. Instructors from the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC) local to Brunswick, Georgia, provided a free training course for Glenn County SRO's. They were also outfitted with first aid kits, which included tourniquets for bleeding control.
