Young Boy Survives Crocodile Attack In Fiji

A young boy has survived a crocodile attack in Fiji according to the Royal Solomon Police Force. The seven year old boy was swimming in a river at the Poipodila settlement in the central province when the crocodile attacked and pulled him in to the river. Fortunately, the boys relatives were nearby and reacted immediately by throwing stones to distract the reptile. The boy is said to be in stable condition. The Supervising Provincial Police Hugo Maelasi said, "The communities who live alongside rivers, creeks, streams and coastal must take extra precaution from the danger of reptiles."

If you live in or near crocodile habitats make sure you carry a tourniquet. Not all tourniquets are designed or manufactured equally. If you think carrying a tourniquet is cumbersome, try OMNA's Amphibious Tourniquets, which have a wearable configuration in addition to its tourniquet configuration
