Man Loses Leg To Boat Propeller At Lake Gun, Michigan

Gun Lake, MI, location of propeller amputation

A man's leg had to be amputated after he fell from a boat and was struck by a boat propeller. While it was an unfortunate accident, the man was lucky that there were two doctors nearby that were carrying a tourniquet and were able to control the bleeding. Without the quick application of the tourniquet the man may have died.

All boaters should be equipped with a marine tourniquet that is made for marine environments.
